Join us at Samaritan for a delicious lunch and an informative conversation with Alexis Hill of the Metro Public Health Department. She will discuss Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) and their impact on lifelong health and mental health. With hopeful messaging and a strengths-based lens, participants will move beyond a focus on adversity and trauma to build practical skills in fostering resilience within our community.

Topic: From Adversity to Hope: Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Trauma-Informed Care, Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs), and Community Resilience

Alexis Hill is a Public Health Administrator at the Metro Public Health Department, where she serves as a Community Impact Coordinator for the Resilient Communities and PACEs (Positive and Adverse Childhood Experiences) Education program. Her role supports initiatives for the Behavioral Health and Wellness Advisory Council, Community Mental Health Systems Improvement initiative, and All Children Excel Nashville. Alexis holds a master’s in Public Health with a concentration on mental and behavioral health.

Alexis’s work with Metro focuses on training the community about PACEs, resilience, and hope using a strength-based approach, and working hands-on with the community to promote holistic health and well-being that improves public health outcomes for all to thrive.
