For persons who are in the early to middle stages of recovery and in need of a structured, alcohol and drug free environment, Bridgeway Crossings offers housing and recovery support services in an apartment setting.
The apartments offer a serene and supportive environment and are conveniently located on the bus line at the corner of Shelby Avenue and South Fourth Street – next door to Samaritan's treatment campus. The emphasis of the program is on continued recovery, maintaining employment, and continued development of personal skills and resources needed to maintain a more independent lifestyle. Recovery support activities include on-site group meetings and activities, community-based AA/NA/DRA meetings, and other recovery related activities.

Bridgeway Crossings is a gated complex comprised of twelve single-occupancy apartments and six double-occupancy units. Each apartment has been recently renovated with new kitchen appliances, bathroom vanities, restored hardwood floors, and patios. The community building has a group lounge and great room for both small and large group activities, and is equipped with a big-screen television, laundry facilities, and a kitchen.
The double occupancy units come fully furnished, while residents in the single units provide their own furniture, with the exception of kitchen appliances which are provided. All residents are responsible for providing their own personal items, i.e., food, clothes, personal hygiene items, alarm clock, etc.
Once admitted, the resident is expected to secure and maintain employment, attend daily support meetings, obtain a sponsor, attend a weekly group session and community meeting, and adhere to all requirements of their aftercare or outpatient treatment plan, if applicable. Participation in program activities is based on individual need and the frequency of required attendance for some activities may decline as the resident progresses in the recovery process.
Bridgeway Crossings Apartments are open to adults (18 years & over) who have a minimum detox period of three days and are not experiencing symptoms of withdrawal. For those with short-term recovery, a recent inpatient treatment episode or current participation in outpatient treatment is desirable, but is not a prerequisite for admission. Whether in recovery for a short period of time, or for those with long-term sobriety, Bridgeway Crossings provides a supportive environment that facilitates and enhances the recovery process.
